Album Cover

I used to love looking at album covers of tapes or cds I purchased or wanted to purchase.  A lot of times if I was on the edge of buying a cd, the cover might push me over if it was something that kept me interested.  I miss those days, now I rarely even know what the album cover looks like as I download so much of my music from iTunes.  Occasionally, I will take the time to look at the digital copy, but it just isn't the same thing.  Well, I came across this album cover the other day while online and it made me stop and actually look and spend some time enjoying the art of it.  It took me back to the days of holding the album in my hand and contemplating what the artist was thinking or trying to communicate with the particular picture.
I am not a big Brian Eno fan, although I know he has helped make U2 sound so good over the years but I am not a huge follower of his self-titled work or with other artists like this album.  David Byrne has some interesting music that I could probably enjoy some but haven't really too much.  All to say, I think I would have purchased this album pre-digital days.  I like the cover, I like the thought behind the title.  It makes me think about the importance of being present today, about being fully awake and alert to where I am, what I am doing and believing that everything that happens will happen today!  In a way - This is the day the Lord has made - everything happens just today and then tomorrow, another created day where everything that happens will happen...again.  Nice.
