Paleo Baby
I have been living the Paleo lifestyle for over a year now while at the same time working out Cross Fit style 2-3 times a week. It has transformed my life. I am a big fan of Paleo eating and will promote it whenever I have an interested ear (if they aren't interested it is not even worth trying, they get hung up on 'eat as much bacon as you like'). I read numeours blogs on paleo. Came across one last night, I like this guy, no nonsense plus he links to almost all of the notable paleo/primal eating sites. If you are looking not to only lose weight, which you will, but to even feel healthier, you should look into this. Don't dismiss it at first glance.
One testimony from me: I battled heartburn for years, almost every single day I would experience it, I knew it probably had something to do with what I was eating but how to isolate that seemed tough (I also experienced a lot of indigestion). I slowly started Paleo, the heartburn began to slowly fade. Went more hard core Paleo and it vanished, it is gone, the only time I experience acid reflux is when I eat for several days the way I used to eat, but even then it is not as bad. Back then I gave up bacon thinking that it was the culprit in my pain, now I can eat as much as I'd like and I feel nothing but good.
As you can see I believe in this because it has worked. I'm not all extreme in this, a great principal in Paleo is the 80/20 principal. Eat Paleo 80% of the time, then partake in non Paleo foods 20% of the time if you'd like. I still eat Pizza with the family and have that glass of wine of beer here and there. Also, I love desserts and will eat something on the weekends, maybe, if I want and if it is a homemade dessert - no store bought crap. The great thing is that I can actually enjoy it all now and I don't have to have it.
Here is the blog I mentioned above. He does an excellent and thorough job in answering the common person's questions on eating Paleo style - Check it out.
By the way - doesn't this look yummy?
